Steamed Mussels & Clams

This is a super easy and simple Steamed Mussels & Clams dish that does not require a lot of prep time or cook time.

  • 1 lb Clams & Mussels Washed & scrubbed
  • 1 Shallot Roughly chopped
  • 1 large Lemon Slice half the lemon
  • 2 cups Broth Can substitute water
  • 1 sprig Fresh Thyme & Rosemary
  • 1/2 cup Fresh cut Basil


  • Place the washed and scrubbed mussels and clams into your pot along with the vinegar, I use Simply Ming Non-Stick Wok, pour in your broth. The seasonings I use for this dish are fresh ground pepper, sea salt, old bay seasoning, and Adobe (season to your tastes).
     Roughly chop the shallot and slice half the lemon, put those into your pot along with all other ingredients. Cover your pot and let it boil. Seafood does not take long to cook. This dish will be completely ready in about 5-10 minutes.


Once the shells have opened up it is ready to eat, take the rest of the lemon and cut them into wedges to serve alongside your dish. Enjoy!
